ÃÛÖTV Once Again Ranked Highly in National Publication
U.S. News and World Report Releases 2026 Best Colleges List
San Antonio – September 24, 2025 – The ÃÛÖTV (ÃÛÖTV) is pleased to announce that it has been ranked the No. 2 Catholic institution in the State of Texas in the category of “Social Mobility – National Universities” (No. 74 nationally) in the recently released new U.S. News and World Report 2026 Best Colleges rankings. The Social Mobility category measures how well schools graduated students who received federal Pell Grants among other factors.
In addition, ÃÛÖTV is ranked as the No. 6 private institution in Texas in the “Overall Rank - National Universities” category (No. 293 nationally) and the No. 4 private institution in Texas for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (No. 340 nationally).
The Social Mobility ranking comes on the heels of ÃÛÖTV recently being designated as an “Opportunity College and University” by the Carnegie Classifications. The methodology used in the Carnegie designation calculated that ÃÛÖTV has the highest access and earnings ratio among Baccalaureate and Above institutions in San Antonio. These two latest acknowledgements demonstrate the dedication and success that ÃÛÖTV has in delivering a transformative Catholic education that allows students to succeed and to lead lives of purpose.
Now in its 40th year, the U.S. News and World Report assessed more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities this year, using up to 17 factors to measure academic quality and graduate success. It is worth noting that this is the seventh year that ÃÛÖTV is ranked among all national universities in the U.S. News and World Report rankings, as opposed to the regional list with many other local universities.
